David Ashley Beamish is a 25 year old actor & singer/songwriter, born in New Zealand and raised in Brisbane, Australia. After only pursuing acting for five months, he secured his first major role in the increasing popular Aussie independent horror film, "Charlie's Farm". David was cast as the key supporting role of backpacker/musician Gordon after deciding to bring a guitar into the audition, alongside well-known actors Tara Reid, Nathan Jones, Kane Hodder and Bill Moseley. The film is to be released in US cinemas in 2015 and will be on DVD/Blueray across Australia and the UK from June 2015. Having a Bachelors degree & Masters in architecture, David also possesses a background in music and presenting. He began his acting education with two back-to-back 10-week workshops with Queensland's own Peter Rasmussen, during which he learned how to break down scenes, develop his acting instrument and hone techniques that work for him. This prepared him for his following screen work, and now he is now a part of Film & Television Studio International. This lead to him becoming represented by well-known Australian agent, Craig McMahon, the studio head. In between his studies, Dave shot two further supporting roles in Gold Coast-based indie comedy feature film "Cursed" as Glen, and became Henry in up-and-coming Australian drama "Thicker Than Water" feature film beside musician Pete Murray, and Aussie actor Anthony Wong & Chai Romruen. In a whirlwind right-place-right-time audition, he then landed the lead role of William Patrick Brice in Queensland's newest intense feature film "Tomorrow". A film tackling family struggles and mental illness. He is also proudly credited for his lead roles in music videos for bands including All India Radio and Barefoot Alley. Dave personally enjoys Australian Football and visiting as many countries as he can. Originally the front man for two Brisbane-based rock bands (now disbanded), he has a love and appreciation for electric and acoustic music, playing the guitar and singing in small public gigs on occasion. Frequently collaborating with fellow musically minded people, he is linked to talented artists up and down the east coast and intends to launch a original & cover songs through his website, including many special guests.
